Hosting Ideas

Since making a site, I noticed it's quite hard to find hosting that offers great amount of bandwidth, as well as site hits. I'm just going to share all the latest things I've found. If you plan on having a website that has a lot of hits (I mean over 400000 hits a day), you really should consider either making your site smaller, since that takes up resources and a lot of hosts would suspend the account.

From my own experiences, before you sign up for any hosting, make sure you ask all the questions and find out the facts. Search on google, if that hosting has problems, you're going to find a lot of topics on forums which people discuss about.

If you do a little more research, it will be much better as you have time to make decisions, instead of signing up for something, realising that it wasn't what you wanted, but you've already uploaded all your files onto the server, and they offer no refund. That's going to be quite difficult. A good thing also is to ask the hosting lots of questions before signing up, eg: how is bandwidth calculated, what happens if you have too much hits, does FTP display all the files or just the first 2000, what payment methods. Everything!

If you're looking for a massive host that offers great number of bandwidth, do not go for what you see as 'unlimited'. These usually don't work out the way you want to, because if you are using shared hosting under $20, there is a limit. Try using 10TB a month and it would be a shock to the world if you haven't been banned.

If you truly want unlimited, go for a dedicated server. The price is high, but you know it's reliable.

That's all the hosting talks for now.
